🐣When I was 6, I went to a birthday party where the magician made me lay an egg 🥚🐤 Still not totally clear on how he did it, but am 100% clear on how much I detested being a chicken 🐥 I've never forgot how powerful the sincere belief in magic is 🪄🔮🎩 One moment you're just a girl thinking about her grass rash; the next, you're a provider of breakfast omelettes 🍳🥚 Truly harrowing, but nevertheless, life needs magic to keep it interesting. This piece celebrates the chickengirl who grew up, still believeing in magic (even if only secretly) 🐔
